Signs and Symptoms of Dengue Fever
- The patient suffers from severe fever
- Severe headache is experienced
- Pain of joints occurs
- Red spots appear all over the body
- Due to dengue fever, platelets found in the blood are destroyed. This badly affects the immune system
Four Different Stages of Dengue Fever
- In the first stage, an individual falls prey to severe fever. All the above mentioned signs and symptoms begin to appear.
- During the second stage of the disease, a patient’s skin, intestines and gums start bleeding while the above mentioned symptoms also prevail.
- The patient’s blood circulatory system is adversely affected in the third stage.
- In the fourth and final stage, the patient suffers from unbearable pain and ailments.
It is possible to cure an individual during the first two stages. However, one can die in the third and fourth stages.
Preventative Measures against Dengue Fever
- The mosquito responsible for spreading the dengue virus is not only found in polluted water, but also thrives in pure water, such as the stagnant water found in your garden or even in the wash room Therefore, special measure must be taken to avoid the accumulation of water in any part of your house.
- This mosquito can bite you at any time of the day, but it is particularly active at sunrise and sunset. So you must protect yourself at these times of the day.
- Use mosquito repellent sprays to get rid of mosquitoes in your house.
- If you feel any of the above mentioned symptoms of the disease, see a doctor as soon as possible so that treatment can be started immediately before the condition becomes severe.
According to the World Health
Organization, the rate of deaths caused by Dengue Fever is 4%. This
disease is spreading rapidly all around the globe. Prevention is the
best way to avoid it.
